Great Summer Sport Ideas
Now that summer is approaching and the weather is taking a turn, there is simply no excuse for not getting out there and enjoying it. Of course while laying on the beach is a great way to relax and enjoy the weather, you might also want to consider a few ways to keep that beach body in shape over the summer. Below are some of the best summer sports and exercise ideas to keep you moving.Tennis: Tennis is without doubt one of the most enjoyable ways to pass a leisurely summer afternoon. When you hit the courts you will not only be able to keep your mind focus on skill building rather than exercise per se, but you might also be able to catch up with some old friends. Playing a game of doubles with your partner and another couope is great, or even just taking him or her on yourself can be a lot of fun.
If you’re new to the sport than taking some lessons at your local community centre can be a great way to learn something new and get in shape. Your arms and legs will get a great workout as you run across the court back and forth and develop a wicked backhand to boot.
Beach Volleyball: You don’t have to be a college student or beach bum to get out there and play a little beach volleyball. Summer volleyball can be one of the best workouts even though it is considered one of the most fun as well. Get a few friends together and organize a game. There is simply nothing like enjoying the sun and beach or even a nice park while you get in shape and bond with some friends.
Surfing: If you’re in the mood for something a little more adventurous, and are fortunate enough to have a surfable waterway near by, then head out to the local surf shop and rent a board. Surf lessons are also a great way to go for beginners. You’ll want to have some lessons or go with an experienced friend in order to learn the ropes. Once you do, however, you’ll never turn back!
Trail Running or Hiking: If you’re into something a little more intimate or even solitary why not hike the nearest trail or hilly terrain. You can either go for a long trail run yourself, or opt for an intimate hike for two. Catching up with an old friend over a long hike is a great way to get toned, enjoy the warm weather and bond with your old pal.
Whatever sport or activity you choose to do this summer, keep in mind that proper preparation is the key to success. If you don’t want to be missing out on the next big barbecue because you’re holed up on the couch with an injury, do remember the importance of warming up and stretching before and after each activity.

Summer is cruel because it scorch us but that cannot be an alibi to stay indoors. With the right activities, summer can turn out a sporty season for us. I like surfing but never tried to learn it due to weight problem so I'm thinking of going hiking this summer to shed off my super xxl flabs. Enjoy the summer guys! and don't forget the sunblocks which have both UVA and UVB protection.
