Detoxing Your Kidneys

The process of detoxification is essential to our health, especially when it comes to the kidneys. The kidney detoxification process is the main filtration system in the body to clear water and solutes, regulate blood cell production, regulate blood PH levles, and remove toxins from the body. Think of your kidneys as working the same way as a water filter does. It filters the blood in your body and removes any waste products that do not belong there.

Because our kidneys work overtime it is a good idea to do a detoxification on a regular basis. So how do you detox? You can start with fruit and vegetable juices to assist in kidney detoxification. Fruit and vegetable juices are the cleansers, energizers, builders, and regenerators of the human system and aside from water they are the best way to detox. It is important to use fresh fruit and vegetable juices, preferrably organic. Most store bought juices have added sugar so it is best to get the food yourself and make your own juice. Taking at least a few days off from food and drinking only these fresh juices will supply all the enzymes, vitamins, minerals, protein and fats critical to increased vitality. You will notice an increase in energy, brighter and clearer skin, whiter eyes, and even healing of certain illnesses. Kidney detox can heal certain types of cancers, arthritis, skin problems, high blood pressure, kidney disorders, liver disorders, fatigue, and more.

If you are wary of doing a full blown kidney cleanse you can start to heal your kidneys by eating the right foods. Grapes, spinach, asparagus, and cranberry juice are all great for your kidneys in particular. Astronutrition also carries a line of cleansing kits designed to detox different parts of your body, including your kidneys.

I completely agree with this article that our kidneys needs to be cleansed through the intake of fluids. I've seen people who take less fluid suffer from kidney stones, so water and plenty of fluids cleanse the kidney through urination. But we should also carefully choose the right juice if we're buying from the stores.
