If you haven't heard of the Twitter or Tweeting yet, then you may be missing out. In less than three years, the micro-blogging site has 50 million users and is signing up an additional 8 million users per month. In its latest round of financing, the company sold shares valuing the company at $1 billion.

Twitter users can follow their friends, famous stars (think Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher), organizations or companies that have a Twitter account. Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length, including spaces, and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web.

This form of social media can serve a purpose, other than for amusement and time-wasting. It is also a useful tool to see what is happening in the world today. The following are some of the people AstroNutrition finds informative and can help guide you to better health:
