Digestive difficulties are extremely common although they tend to not be discussed as much as other health issues. Many people even have trouble talking to their doctor about these problems which is unfortunate because many of them have easy treatments. Here are a few common digestive problems and possible treatments:
1. Acid Reflux. A common symptom of acid reflux is heartburn which can be very uncomfortable to suffer through. It is estimated that around 20% of people suffer from heartburn on a weekly basis. There are medications that you can take to help with your acid reflux but it is better to try natural remedies and prevention techniques first. Apple cider vinegar as well as healthy carbohydrate rich foods have helped a lot of people avoid acid reflux. Also try to exclude caffeine, spices, fatty foods and citrus fruits from your diet and restrict the consumption of alcohol.

3. Lactose intolerance. A huge number of people around the world are lactose intolerant - between 30 million and 50 million people in the United States alone are lactose intolerant. What this means is that you do not have an enzyme that is needed to digest the sugar in milk properly. Symptoms include bloating, gas, stomach aches, nausea and diarrhea.
