Health With Your Spouse

Making time for both your own health and your spouse can be difficult but if you don’t you may end up feeling that you don’t spend enough time together. Keeping your relationship strong takes both hard work and dedication and finding things to do together is the key. So why not combine your health with spending time with your partner?

One way to keep your relationship alive is to make dinner together. Making your own food is the way to go. Not only is it much cheaper than eating out but its much healthier. You control the salt, sugar and fat and you also know exactly what is in your meal. Cooking can feel like a chore but it doesn’t have to if you make it a time to catch up with your spouse. Although it may not be possible to cook together every night, make a pact to do it as often as you can and if you can’t cook together at least try to eat together. Choose a healthy meal that doesn’t take too long to prepare but gives you a chance to cook and chat together. Another way to get more time with your spouse is to schedule exercise dates. When you think of a date night you probably think of going to dinner or a movie but why not make a date out of doing something active? Engaging in physical activity together will get you both in shape and it will both make you feel better about yourselves which has been shown to increase the amount of sex that you have.

It is not secret that relationships take work, as does being healthy. Finding simple ways to combine the two and save you time will save you stress because you will have more time for both partner and yourself.
