3 Reasons for A.M. Workout
Whether you consider yourself to be a morning person or not, there are many ways that you can benefit from working out in the morning. It doesn&undefined;t mean you have to get up at 5am every morning, but even if you fit in a quick half an hour workout consistently, you should see results. Here are the top three reasons to work out in the AM.
1. It starts your day off right. No matter how hard it is to get your butt out of bed, working out first thing in the morning starts your day off on a positive note. You will get the blood flowing and will feel much more alert by the time you get to work than if you just roll out of bed, throw on some clothes, and go straight to work.
2. You are more likely to work out every day. It is important to get exercise most days of the week. By incorporating daily exercise into your morning before you start your day, you are more likely to stick to it than if you exercise later on in the day. The reason is simple-if you promise yourself that you will work out after work, other priorities tend to come up and quite often your workout will get postponed. By taking time for yourself in the morning you will avoid this unexpected missed sessions.
3. It helps you sleep. If you get up an hour or more earlier to work out, chances are you will have a better sleep . It may be hard at first, but once your body adjusts to your new cycle you will find yourself falling asleep easier and earlier at night, and waking up refreshed and ready to go in the morning.
If you aspire to be a morning exerciser, start slowly. Wake up half an hour earlier one day and take a twenty minute walk or go for a slow jog. Once you find it is easier to wake up, start getting up earlier. Work your way up to getting up about an hour or more earlier than normal so that you have time to get in a great sweat session before starting your day. You will see results in no time and feel much better about yourself throughout the day.
