We can derive almost all the vitamins from fruits and vegetables and becoming a vegetarian can help prevent many kind of fatal diseases. However, pesticides, fertilizers and chemicals used on the vegetables and fruits pose some health risks, we just have to be smart customers by trying to buy only organic or local products. Organic vegetables are completely safe and local produce is also quiet safe. Its good to be a vegetarian but I believe that our body also needs a little bit of everything and it is better not to rely on multi vitamins and supplements if we can derive our requirements from different kinds of foods.
