Not going to bed straight away sounds helpful but when the head is spinning and you feel so light that you assume you're floating, going to sleep is the best thing on earth at that moment. Taking a cold shower is the best thing to keep awake for sometime, taking a stroll in the open air also helps. A chilled lemonade without the sugar but just a little salt also works wonderfully. Hangovers can be very disturbing so it's better to prevent a hangover by drinking in moderation and by not drinking in an empty stomach.
