And You Thought You Were On A Diet?

Well, sorry to break it to you, but you aren’t really on a diet unless you are avoiding certain foods. According to Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, Oprah’s medical experts who frequent her show, there are five ingredients that should be banned from your diet forever.

Hydrogenated oil - often masquerades as partially hydrogenated oil.

Sugar and high fructose corn syrup - eliminate it!

Enriched flour - means they took all the good stuff out.  .

Bleached flour - so white foods like white bread.

This little bit of info may keep you motivated…Dr. Roizen says Americans eat 63 pounds of high fructose corn syrup a year, which can ultimately put 33 pounds on you. He adds that in 1960 Americans didn't use enriched flour, but today they consume 63 pounds a year. It all adds up to extra pounds.

It’s time to reassess your diet plans to ensure these five foods are gone. Remember- most of your favorite snack foods won't advertise their artificial ingredients - you have to read the small print for yourself!
