Boost Your Fertility
Thinking about having a baby? Although it sounds pretty easy – have sex and get pregnant right? The reality is that most women under 35 will not have a problem getting pregnant. In fact, about 84% of women trying to concieve will within the first year. The other 16% or those over 35 may take quite a bit longer and others will never be able to get pregnant. There are things that you can do to boost your fertility and increase your chances. Here are a few changes to make now to stack the odds in your favor:
1.Take your vitamins: Fertility is dependent on your overall health. If you are lacking in one or a number of vitamins you will not be as fertile and if you do get pregnant you are more likely to have a miscarriage. Of greatest important is Vitamin C, folic acid and zinc. You should be taking a multivitamin supplement every day.
2.Hit the gym. If you are overweight, work it off. You are most fertile when your body is at it&undefined;s “healthy” weight. That is, you are not too fat and you&undefined;re not too thin. If you are too thin you are probably under nourished and it is important to put on a few pounds. Women need at least 18% of body fat to ovulate but being over 25% hinders your chance of getting pregnant. Working out frequently will ensure that you are healthy and fit. It will also make you feel better about yourself and possibly increase the spark in the bedroom.
3.Don&undefined;t stress about it. Dont stress about getting pregnant or anything else for that matter. Stress can cause irregular ovulation or even stop your periods. If you are getting worried because you haven&undefined;t been able to get pregnant for a lengthy period of time then see your doctor but don&undefined;t worry yourself. Stress can also cause insomnia which is not good for your fertility.
The best thing that you can do for yourself and your fertility is be healthy. Eat a balanced diet, get your vitamins, drink lots of water and do the things you love to do. A baby is more easily concieved when your all around health (mental and physical) is in tip top shape.
