Are You A Worry Wart?

Being a worry-wart can cause all kinds of problems physically and mentally. Many people are “natural” worriers and tend to get stressed out easily. Others have anxiety which leads them to get stressed out about everything. Although you may think a little bit of worrying can’t do much harm it can. Worrying can affect your body in ways that may be surprising.
Worrying here and there is natural. Human beings are made up of complex emotions which cannot be easily controlled. Our lives are filled with stress and situations which result in worry. The problem is excessive worrying. When someone gets very anxious they tend to worry about everything which can make you physically ill in a number of ways. Worrying can be described as being uneasy or very concerned about a particular situation, person or problem. When you worry you mind tends to get out of control and your emotions take over. You start to think about the worst possible situation which can make the whole situation worse than it actually is in reality. People that worry excessively may even start to experience panic attacks. Chronic worrying affects each individual in different ways. It can lead to appetite gain or loss, insomnia, concentration, exercise habits and general mental functioning. Worrying too much has even been shown to cause disease and illness.
There is a definite connection between the mind and the body. If you are having emotional issues you can guarantee that it will reflect on your body. Stress and worry is ok in moderation, but too much of it can wreak havoc on your body as well as your personal relationships. Exercise such as yoga is a great cure but depending on the extent of your stress you may need to speak with a counselor or therapist.
