Aging Gracefully
Aging is an inevitable part of all of our lives. It is a continuous and natural process- we will all grow older, we will all get wrinkles, and all of our bodies will change. Living in a world increasingly obsessed about having a perfect appearance at any age, it is understandable that aging can cause a considerable amount of anxiety and grief to a lot of people.
Even though the aging processed cannot be stopped, it can be slowed down significantly. Here are some tips on how to age gracefully:
- Eat berries: Berries of all kinds are filled with antioxidants. As Nicholas V. Perricone, MD points out, “Blueberries, strawberries, cranberries, and raspberries are all loaded with antioxidants, which save cells from premature aging”. Try adding berries to your cereal, smoothies, and even salads.
- Take a Magnesium Supplement: Magnesium is a crucial mineral to increase our health and permanence in this life. Magnesium is essential for a healthy liver, bladder, bones, and teeth. Studies have shown that the majority of people are magnesium deficient. For a magnesium supplement click here: Magnesium Citrate - Helps Relax Muscles & Fight Depression .
- Practice Yoga: A common belief in yoga is that a person’s age is determined by the flexibility of their spine-yoga is great for keeping this elasticity. It also burns fat, exercises your mind, and puts you in a calm, healthy state of being.
- Wear Sunscreen: Try to wear sunscreen every day-even in the winter time. Although the sun may not be shining, UV rays are still penetrating your skin-this in turn causes the breakdown of collagen and eventually, wrinkles.
- Avoid Tobacco Products: Kick the habit! Smoking is one of the most harmful things you can do to your body. It not only causes wrinkles and discoloration of the skin, but can also cause emphysema, lung disease, and cancer, just to name a few. Remember that it is never too late to quit-you will reap many benefits in as little as a few days.

This article needs to be updated. The vast majority of the people in this nation are now deficient in Vitamin D, whose primary source is sunshine and we all avoid it like the plague, resulting in increased incidence of cancer and other ailments. This has happened because of the demonization of sunshine.
I bet it was started by an oncologist or pharmaceutical company.
