A Few General Cleansing Tips

Do you clean your house? How about your car? Or your clothes? The answer is likely yes. But what about yourself? Do you take time to clean out your body? If not, you may want to start, since cleaning your body from the inside out is one of the best things you can do for your health.

Cleanses have long been a holistic approach to living a healthier lifestyle. Ancient traditions, such as Chinese medicine, used cleanses as a way to lengthen life and increase vitality. Lately, studies have been linking prevention of colon cancer, as well as a myriad of other degenerate diseases, to colon cleansing.

Cleanses can be done gently, without any of the fad-diet approaches like only eating cayenne pepper and lemon water. Those types of quick fixes do nothing but shock your body into ridding left over waste, but the trauma induced does more damage than if you hadn’t ever done one. If you haven’t done a cleanse before you should think about going into one slowly, especially if you have somewhat of an unhealthy diet. Making a cleanse work for you is the best path. Follow the instructions, but keep your common sense about you. Annual cleanses are a must if you want to achieve a good level of health.

Semi-annual ‘softer’ cleanses (smaller versions of an annual), done about six months after a full cleanse, are terrific for you too. But don’t think that jumping right back into an unhealthy diet is okay. You may just be spinning your wheels if that’s your approach. Cleansing involves avoiding eating certain foods while taking herbal supplements to ‘flush’ your body out at the same time. They are sometimes noted as being rough experiences, but in reality the hardest part is usually only the first day. After that the experience can be great, as you feel clean and stronger than you usually do. Here are some cleansing tips: - Drink lots of water. - Eat soups with broths and stews. The nutrients inside will energize you. - Exercise, but keep it down. The movement of blood will help process some of the toxins you want to rid. - Don’t be hard on yourself.

Many people quit cleanses after one slip-up. Accept that everyone makes mistakes, and keep going. - Be ready for mood swings. The body is not used to such a drastic change in diet, and finding its balance may cause different emotions. Prepare your friends and family. - Rest. Prepare you schedule ahead of time and treat your cleanse like a mini-vacation. - Relax, relax, and relax, and, if you can, get some sunshine.

When I heard about this cleansing process for the first time I did not believe a word about the product though the salesman went blah..blah...as a good listener I sat quietly but didn't digest anything. After some months I met some people who were still on the supplements I was surprised to see how the cleansing method was benefiting them and this time I could not believe my eyes. I learned my lesson, I shouldn't have underestimated it without trying but I have no regrets because it's still not late for all of us to experience this magical cleansing and I'm definitely going to take up the smaller versions first.
