6 Ways to Detox Naturally

Detoxifying your body at least once a year can be extremely beneficial to most people. Although cleanses are recommended, there are way to detoxify your body gently without buying a boxed cleanse or using extreme measures. Here are six ideas on how to detoxify naturally.

1. Eat plenty of fiber. Eating mostly organic foods high in fiber such as brown rice, fresh and preferably raw fruits and vegetables such as radishes, artichokes, cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are effective detox foods. .
 
2. Be gentle on your liver. Taking supplements such as milk thistle, dandelion root, and burdock will remove unknown substances from the liver. You can also squeeze an organic lemon into water and sip it throughout the day to get the same effect.

3. Stock up on vitamin C. Vitamin C helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. It is also great for your skin, hair, and nails.

4. Drink at least 2 quarts of water daily. Water flushes out all the impurities from your body and nourishes your organs, allowing them to work productively inside your body.

5. Practice hot yoga. During a session of hot yoga you are in a very humid room practicing difficult positions and focusing on your breathing.
