5 Reasons to Start Juicing
Once maybe it was a habit for hippies or the health crazed, but now everyone is doing it. Juicing is more popular now than ever before due to the health benefits that people are experiencing. Juicing grew popular at juice bars in LA, New York, and other trend-setting spots but now more people are juicing at home more regularly. Here are five reasons you should jump on the juicing band wagon.
1. Its easy to get your fruits & veggies. Getting your five servings of fruit and vegetables each day comes so easy with juicing. You can easily juice five pounds of fruits & veggies and end up with a glass of nutrient and vitamin filled goodness that is much easier to consume in juice form. Drink up!
2. Its great for your digestive system. The fruits and vegetables you juice contain high amounts of enzymes which are responsible for digestion and absorption of food into your body. Juicing will quickly deliver a ton of enzymes to your stomach, and aid in proper digestion.
3. Disease protection. Plant chemicals known as phytochemicals hold the key to prventing some of our most deadly diseases such as cancer, heart disease, asthma, arthritis and allergies. Because it is very difficult to eat enough phytochemicals, juicing is an amazing solution. You will easily get enough phytochemicals in a few glasses of juice to help your body fight these terrible diseases.
4. Juicing helps you stay young. Fruit and vegetables contain high amounts of potent antioxidants which combat the signs of aging. Antioxidants mop up free radicals and the damage they cause when they attack cells. By juicing you will be fighting wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and saggy skin.
5. It will keep you slim. Drinking a full glass of freshly juiced fruits & veggies is surprisingly filling. Starting the day by juicing will keep you full for hours with very little calories. It also gives you a very high amount of energy which is rarely gotten from eating any type of food.
Juicing is a great habit to get into. You can juice almost any vegetable and fruit but the best ones to use are carrots, celery, beets, cucumber, spinach, apples, oranges, pineapple, pear, and strawberries. You can also throw in some lemon and ginger to spice it up a bit. Happy juicing!
