3 Home-Made Skin Treatments

Natural skin care is important for everyone at every age. Using harsh chemicals on your face, or even just highly recognized name brand products that contain ingredients that you can&undefined;t even pronounce can be detrimental to your skin health.  Pregnant women have to be especially careful about what they put on their skin because everything that they are exposed to, the baby growing inside of them is exposed to as well. Here are three natural skin care treatments for anyone and everyone to try:

1.Avocado. Avocado contains lots of fat, and it is as good for you on your skin as it is if you eat it. It is high in sterolins which have been shown to reduce age spots, heal sun damage and heal scars. Avocado oil also naturally softens the skin and gives you that youthful glow. Ifyou have gotten a lot of sun this summer or just need a little hydration, make your own face mask by mashing up an avocado and applying to the skin for about 10 minutes.

2.Honey. Honey on the skin may sound a little strange, but if you apply it onto your freshly cleansed face and leave on for about 5-7 minutes, after rinsing off your skin will feel delightfully smooth.  Honey has anti microbial properties and it is great for treating problem skin and sunburns. It is so moisturizing because it has the ability to retain water.

3.Sugar scrub. It is important to exfoliate your skin regularly to slough off dead skin cells and reveal the younger, healthier skin underneath. Make your own easy exfoliant by simply using sugar in the shower.

Instead of loading up on expensive skin care products that contain endless ingredients (and toxins), go natural whenever possible. There are so many ingredients that you probably have on hand at home that can be used to treat your skin and will save you money while beautifying your skin at the same time.
